This photo might not look like much to most people—a messy, overgrown dirt road, full of fallen branches, debris, and years of neglect. But to us, it’s a picture of possibility.
When we first arrived, we couldn't drive down this road. Heck, I was scared to walk down it! It was blocked in multiple spots by downed trees and brush, completely unpassable in some areas. But we knew it led somewhere special: to the future home of our farm.
Clearing this road wasn’t just about access. It symbolized the first real steps toward building Harvesting Hope Acres. And like most beginnings, it was messy, slow, and required more work than we thought.
It also reminded us that progress doesn’t have to be perfect. Sometimes it starts with just getting through the brush and reminding yourself what lies ahead is worth every struggle.
