At Harvesting Hope Acres, we believe every person carries immeasurable worth, created with purpose and deserving of a place to belong. Belonging isn’t a privilege for a select few; it’s part of how we were made to live, side by side, in community and care.
Too often, our neighbors and loved ones with disabilities are left on the margins, unseen or unheard. We are planting something different here in Sewickley, a place where every hand is welcome in the soil, every voice matters, and every person has the chance to grow alongside others.
Right now, we are awaiting news on one legal grant to help with zoning and two infrastructure and operations grants that could truly set this dream in motion. These early steps are not just about buildings and blueprints; they are about building belonging. They are about creating a space where people with disabilities can find purpose, dignity, and respect through meaningful work and connection.
When individuals with disabilities find a place to work, learn, and thrive, it changes more than one life; it transforms a community. The soil teaches us that growth comes when we nurture what is often overlooked. The same is true for people.
Through gardening, animal care, and artisan work, we are not just cultivating produce; we are cultivating purpose, connection, and joy. Each raised bed, each seedling, and each shared harvest reminds us that communities flourish when everyone has a place to grow.
Together, we are proving that dignity can grow anywhere, even in a small patch of dirt that dares to believe in big things.
With hope that keeps growing,
